On November 6th, the First Nuclear Industry Robot Competition in Gansu Province came to a successful conclusion in Jiayuguan City. The Starharbour Team, jointly established by Starharbour Group and Beijing Nuclear Information Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Nuclear Industry Group, won the third prize and the Excellence Award in the Trailblazer Track and the Master Detective Track respectively.

The Starharbour Team was jointly formed by China Nuclear Nuclear Information Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Steelrose Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Baxi Robot Co., Ltd., subsidiaries of Starharbour Group. The team was led by Dr. Wu Tong, an industry expert, and completed the competition projects with the support of AI algorithms from Steelrose Technology and the technical support from Baxi Robot Company.

After the competition, Mr. Zhao Liheng, the chairman of the group, personally called the participating team in Gansu to congratulate them on their outstanding achievements and hoped that they would continue to work hard and create more glories. Mr. Zhao said that this competition had a tight schedule, heavy tasks and an unfamiliar environment, which was a severe test for us. Through communicating with various elite professors in the industry, we saw the professionalism in the nuclear power field, especially the many difficulties that robots faced in this specific scenario. Meanwhile, it also highlighted the huge prospects for the application of robots in dangerous fields such as nuclear power. Mr. Zhao hoped that all employees of Starharbour could continue to uphold the craftsman spirit of “applying research results and making innovative breakthroughs” and be committed to the research and development and application of intelligent equipment in the nuclear industry field.

This participation also won the recognition and praise of the leaders of China Nuclear Industry Group, our teammates in the competition. It is hoped that both sides can increase the research and development of robots in the nuclear power field and innovate in application scenarios to jointly create more glories.
