HK StarHarbour Group won the 2024 China Inspection Robot Innovative Product Award

On the afternoon of April 18, 2024, the OFweek 2024 (the 13th) China Robotics Industry Conference was held at the Antya Meilan Hotel in Shenzhen. At the award ceremony, our company won the Vico Cup · OFweek 2023 China Inspection Robot Innovative Product Award.

This conference went through three rounds of intense and fierce selection including OFweek online voting, expert group review and organizing committee comprehensive review. The comprehensive strength of nearly 300 participating projects was considered. In view of our company’s remarkable achievements in the robotics industry, the organizing committee finally decided after research and awarded us this honor.

In recent years, our company has always adhered to the scientific research spirit of innovation and breakthrough, and research for practical application, constantly making innovations and breakthroughs in the field of intelligent robots. The “StarHarbour Inspection Robot” participating in this selection is mainly applied in environments such as darkness, humidity, high temperature and dust. On the inspection route of the robot, uneven roads or slopes often occur, hindering the passage of the robot. Moreover, the robot does not carry a robotic arm and cannot operate switches, buttons, keys and valves in time. The installation height of the inspection equipment is not fixed, and the robot cannot observe the equipment at ultra-high positions. For complex resistive screen interfaces, it is difficult for the robot to read data and distinguish different data. In response to these pain points, our company organized technical personnel to go to the site. After many field investigations and information collections, the Xinggang Inspection Robot was developed specifically. In the above environments, the robot can easily cope with various harsh environments by using the carried perception equipment with noise reduction and filtering algorithms.

“Because the lidar and ultrasonic sensors carried by the robot can work normally in a completely dark environment, the robot will not be affected in a dark environment. Moreover, the obstacle avoidance camera it is equipped with is also an active infrared light source, which can help the robot better adapt to the environment,” said Manager Zhou of our R & D department. “On the uneven road surface, we have designed a high-performance suspension and matched it with large-diameter universal casters. When many people are walking, the robot will plan the optimal route to walk.”

When accepting an interview on the spot, General Manager Zhao said that for factories, supermarkets, office buildings, etc., which currently basically have information technology computer rooms, it is very important to ensure their 24-hour uninterrupted operation without failure. Therefore, choosing to deploy inspection robots can inspect equipment according to the set time and route day and night. In case of problems, it is crucial to use AI deep learning and perception systems, and click the screen and rotate the switch button with the bionic fingers carried at the end of the robotic arm to correct errors in the first time and adjust abnormal data to the normal threshold. It is an important guarantee for the normal operation of the central computer room, which not only improves the inspection efficiency, but also saves the maintenance cost of users, and has a very wide application prospect.
